Get it Right the First Time - Customer Service & Social Media


chris stoneBefore I get too far in to this post, I want to say that this is not meant to smear any company or business. I had a bad personal experience with service at a local restaurant, which prompted me to post my experience on Facebook and to talk about it in the video below.

Customer service is the key to any business' success.  Period. Poor customer service, especially for a small business, can lead to poor reviews on Yelp, Facebook, Twitter. The entire social mediasphere.

Chris - Awesome rant. Very @garyvee. 
 
A book I'm reading talks about how customer service is really about "exporting your internal culture". If you have crap customer service, you're telling me that you don't care about the customer. 
 
As a digitally connected individual, I'm quick to post my praise, and complaints, for all to see. 
 
Be remarkable, and provide remarkable service. That's the key to any small business.

Matt - thanks for the compliment. You're spot on in that you have to genuinely show that you care about your customers. It's amazing to me that more people don't realize that remarkable should be the standard, especially in this economy!
